Free cookies, coffee, and prayer

Please pray for us friday afternoon, as we share God love and message of reconciliation as we offer free cookies, coffee and prayer.

We've done this a couple times before and have had many great conversations and opportunities to share our faith in Jesus.

Pray as we stand outside that the weather would be just right.
Pray for God to give us boldness by his Spirit.
Pray for students to receive the grace of God through Jesus Christ.

Pray for Quinn

My heart goes out to Quinn. God reveal yourself to him!
Please pray with me for Quinn to have an encounter with God and receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.

My healed hamstring has been a conversation starter about prayer and our God who heals.
I got to share my faith with Quinn, the club's president, as he's been recovering from a thigh injury. We started discussing motivation in life, purpose, and the things of this world that don't satisfy. I got to share about God's heart for him and I got to pray with him. I really want to continue to pray for God's hand in his life, for him to have a life-changing encounter with God.

Please pray that God would heal Quinn, reveal Himself to him;
That Quinn's eyes would be miraculously opened to the glory of God in Christ;
That Quinn's heart would be changed by the Great Physician;
That Quinn's life would be radically changed by the overwhelming power of the Holy Spirit;
Please pray for me to have more opportunities to share the Good News of Christ with Quinn and the other rugby players at UVic.

Morning Prayer: A Song

Every monday and friday mornings a group of ~7 students gather to pray for their campus and praise their God. This is one of my favorite times of the week.

Perfect Timing

Karthik came into the room at the perfect time to hear God's promise to him. We gave out cards with God's promises to students within our residence discovery group and Karthik came in at the very end of the study. But it was just in time for him to read-out this promise from the Bible which, he said, resonated with him strongly.

Please pray for Karthik as he strives to be a surgeon and as he discovers, along with the group, who Jesus is and how to follow him.

Healed Hamstring and Ready to Represent Christ

On friday I pulled my hamstring during the first 5 minutes of touch rugby with the club I've joined.
I was anticipating to play in the tournament the following Wednesday, and the team said they needed me.
I rested and asked for healing on Sunday. By Wednesday afternoon I was ready enough for the tournament, but praying through every game for strength and a chance to witness. By the end of the tournament, my hamstring was intact, our team won the gold, and I got to share with a girl about my God who listens to our prayers and heals our infirmities.

It's been a great way to connect with students so far, please pray that myself and the students of Sunago will be able to witness through the Touch Rugby Club and other similar sports.

Discovering students

Woohoo!

I've been encouraging students to invite their friends, classmates, and dorm mates to our Discovery Group, where we discover who Jesus is, what he said and did, and how that changes our lives.

Tonight our students invited 5 friends to join in discovery.

Please pray for our students as they embark on this wonderful journey of discovery together to know Christ intimately.

Athletics for Christ

I'm sore but excited.
I've been helping a student start a ministry geared towards atheletes at Uvic, today we just connected another athlete willing to commit to the leadership team.

I thought I'd be an athlete myself, so I joined the touch rugby club today, one of UVic's largest clubs.
I ran hard for 1.5hrs straight.
I got to connect with a lot of the players today and am hoping to bring a couple of students from Sunago with me next time.
This is how we see many people come to Christ; meeting them where they're at.

Pray for us, as we run the race and press on towards the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus (Phil 3:14).
Pray for connections and divine appointments to share the love and grace of Christ.
